We protect biodiversity by conserving natural environments
WHAT IS ARSIP?
The Biodiversity Foundation has created the Protected Natural Areas Program (ARSIP) with the Mision of contributing to the conservation of priority lands for biodiversity, assuring the continuity and connection between ecosystems
WHAT WE DO?
We promote the conservation of lands in all of Argentina, seeking to increase the area of protected areas, fundamentally to protect nature and the environment.
HOW WE WORK?
We develop three lines of work:
- Acquisition of land - Priority or outstanding areas that Fundación Biodiversidad acquires under its tutelage to guarantee their conservation in perpetuity.
- Private reserves - Through agreements with landowners, we ensure the conservation of priority ecosystems, avoiding their transformation or destruction.
- Management and sustainability - We collaborate with other institutions, public and private, in the development of initiatives aimed at ensuring the protection of new areas or sustainable management of those in private hands that are priorities for conservation.
HOW DO WE ENSURE THEIR CONSERVATION?
Environmental education, scientific research, and monitoring of endangered species are the most important methods that we count on to identify threats and generate awareness in the local communities, and spread our actions for conservation in each place that we work in.
Through activities of low impact, we generate resources to cover the costs of conservation in areas under our care.
Our sponsors contribute financial or in-kind resources to achieve our conservation goals.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

To promote nature conservation in private lands
To promote the expansion of the federal system of protected areas
To guarantee sustainability and good practices in private lands with outstanding or priority ecosystems for conservation
To contribute to the development of different biodiversity corridors.
